Campus Administrators and Service Request Submissions via Planon

If you’re one of the hundreds of campus administrators who submit service requests for maintenance related activities, you’ll be familiar with the process in PeopleSoft today.

When Workday replaces PeopleSoft on November 2, 2020, Planon will also go live as the new software application to submit service requests for maintenance requests and customer-funded requests. The process will remain virtually the same, except you’ll log into Planon using CWL.

To assist campus administrators understand the changes, the EMMS team will be:

  • offering self-service information via Canvas in late-September, early October
  • communicating new processes to all campus administrators who submit SRs
  • communicating via your Facilities Managers (FMs)
  • communicating cutover dates, freeze periods and any interim processes during the transition period.

Note: A PeopleSoft query will be run prior to the November Go-Live to capture UBC administrators who have been assigned the PeopleSoft role of “Service Requestor.” All “active users” with this PeopleSoft role will be assigned the same role in Planon to enable them to submit Service Requests beginning on November 2nd. For new administrators after go-live, a process is being developed to grant Planon access. Details will be provided closer to Go-Live.
