Technicians

Technicians will use Planon’s desktop, tablet or mobile app (Planon Mobile Field Services App) to:

  • Receive, view and complete assigned Work Orders for reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Capture work order time on the mobile app
  • Order parts via mobile app to complete Work Orders
  • See hazard information at the building level displayed within the Work Order
  • View assets using QR codes (and/or affix new QR codes to assets)
  • Submit asset updates for approval by Heads
  • View space and location information integrated with Archibus and ArcGIS
  • Receive automated notifications to keep you in the loop on Work Order status
  • Access real-time information based on your security role.

Technicians will also use Workday for “employee as self” tasks such as:

  • updating personal information such as address or phone
  • updating benefits details
  • requesting vacation and checking balances
  • applying for jobs
  • accessing pay stubs and tax forms to name a few.
