As we move into the summer months, the EMMS team will be working with the business to consider changes to existing business processes which occur outside Planon that may need to be updated. The development of a training schedule and materials is underway as is cutover and sustainment planning.
In June, EMMS is focused on the completion of Config 2 design and testing. Business Process Adjustment workshops will begin to determine changes to current operational processes and workflows in preparation for go live.
In May, planned engagements include completion of Config 1 review in anticipation of Config 2 testing. Weekly Transition Network call-in meetings are scheduled to socialize the changes with staff to prepare for Planon and Workday.
In April, Config1 testing continues in anticipation of Workday+1 testing. Testing is going very well with mostly minor configuration adjustments required at this stage. Meetings scheduled with the business to review Config1 and to make adjustments prior to Config2 as needed. Training curriculum is complete.
The EMMS and Planon teams have been busy at work to complete the first of two configurations. Starting this month, the first cycle to validate system configurations, workflow, and integrations to other UBC applications and data functions as expected. In anticipation of a November Go live, the training plan is underway.

What better way to start the New Year than with the achievement of a major milestone. With the Design work complete, EMMS moves to the Configuration & Prototype stage. Planon's technical team will begin the first of two configurations prior to beginning the Testing stage.
This month, the EMMS team is busy at work getting everything wrapped up before the holidays. The Planon elves will be working during the holiday break to configure UBC's application. In January, the EMMS team will review Planon configurations prior to beginning the testing stage.
Work continues on determining how UBC will configure Planon to meet UBC's business needs. Phase 1 stakeholders are participating in Design Meetings to review Planon functionality by business area. Functional Specification documents will be developed for use by Planon's development team to build on Planon's out-of-the-box solution.
This month, the EMMS team is working with the business to determine how UBC will use Planon functionality, preparing data for upload in several iterations to Planon and assessing technical integrations between Planon and other applications such as Workday, Archibus and ArcGIS.
